Guarantees are hard to come by when it comes to immigration

When someone is dealing with an immigration issue, the matter usually doesn’t just entail the future of the individual in question. That person has a family, and the immigration proceedings can greatly affect the family as well. There is so much at stake in these proceedings that it is absolutely crucial for those in the spotlight to be prepared and to get it right so that they have the best chance for success.

Of the newer immigration proceedings out there, one of the more important processes is the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. This program essentially gives a waiver to people who would otherwise face potential deportation or removal proceedings. People who arrived in the United States before the age of 16 are eligible.

There are other situations and circumstances that later the requirements for applying for DACA, but the reprieve that this program gives to many people who are just trying to live a normal life can be, well, life-saving.

But as is the way of most immigration processes, nothing is guaranteed with DACA. There could be complications with your application, or you could face legal action after receiving DACA status even though you shouldn’t be a potential target for such action.

It is because of this reason that anyone who is going through the immigration system here in the U.S. needs legal help. It doesn’t have to be specific to DACA — any immigration action can become convoluted and troublesome if the individual lacks legal help.
